Non Profits We Love: Big Dreamers United

At Lo+Mo, we’re always on the lookout for nonprofits that are making a significant impact in creative and innovative ways. That’s why we’re excited to highlight Big Dreamers United, a nonprofit started by Lea Culver and John Urban in 2018, whose mission is as heartwarming as it is unique: “help the helpers communicate.”

They provide creative services—at no cost—to help nonprofits tell their stories and elevate their missions. Whether it’s through videos, photography, graphic design, or audio, Big Dreamers United is dedicated to making sure nonprofits can share their message with the world in the most compelling way possible.

So, what exactly does Big Dreamers United offer? Their core services include:

• Video Production: From 15-second PSAs to 5-minute event promos or capital campaign explainers, they handle the full spectrum of nonprofit video needs.
• Still Photography: Need professional photos for your website or an upcoming event? Big Dreamers United has you covered with stunning still photography.
• Graphic Design: Whether it’s brochures, posters, annual reports, or even logos (time permitting), they provide beautifully designed materials that communicate your mission effectively.
• Radio/Audio: They also specialize in creating audio presentations or radio spots to help amplify your message.

In addition to these services, they offer what they call the BDU Quick Hitter (QH), a rapid 2-3 hour creative project designed for smaller needs, like a headshot of your executive director or a quick promo video.

Lea and John’s goal was to help at least two nonprofits per month when they launched Big Dreamers United, and they’ve been doing just that, providing these incredible services to nonprofit organizations that often wouldn’t have the budget for high-quality marketing or creative work.
