One such organization that holds a special place in our hearts is the Levy Giving Fund, founded by the remarkable Levy family—Cherie and Steve Levy, and their daughters Madison Keller and Molly Graham. Now married with children, Madison and Molly continue to carry forward their family’s tradition of philanthropy, instilling the values of kindness and generosity in the next generation.

The Levy Giving Fund is more than just a charitable organization; it is a beacon of hope and kindness in our local area and beyond. Cherie Levy’s journey began with her beloved store, Gigi’s Cupcakes. After selling Gigi’s, Cherie faced a bittersweet moment—not because of the end of endless cupcakes, but because she was deeply connected to the charitable endeavors her store supported. Determined to continue her philanthropic mission, Cherie, along with her family, founded the Levy Giving Fund almost immediately after the sale. Their motto, “Choose Kindness, Always,” perfectly encapsulates their approach to making the world a better place.
From providing resources to local schools and supporting healthcare initiatives to championing environmental causes and aiding families in need, the Levy Giving Fund’s impact is widespread and profound. They believe that kindness is contagious and challenge everyone to pass it on. Their work demonstrates that even small acts of kindness can ripple outwards, creating positive change in the community.

In 2020, I had the honor of nominating the Levy Giving Fund for the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Greater Madison chapter Outstanding Philanthropic Organization award. It was a joy to see them recognized for their tireless efforts and dedication to philanthropy. Winning this prestigious award was a testament to the incredible impact they have made and continue to make. Their commitment to their community and their unwavering belief in the power of kindness truly set them apart.
